For instance, to assist the management of an expansive estate for the surviving spouse of a deceased client, we not only established a trust company to hold and shelter the assets against creditors, we also acted as the trustee therein managing all the operations of the trust, and as the accountant of the trust company, as well as the tax advisor to enable the trust beneficiary to utilize the trust as a succession vehicle to provide for heirs residing overseas.We provided legal and practical solutions to preserve the integrity of the assets and wealth within the family to the fullest extent possible whilst planning for the next generation, thereby serving the past, present and future, all at minimum costs and without the need for outside accountants / tax advisors.
